This month, were asked to letter the wall for the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce. They have a new logo and wished to put it on the side of their building. Since their building is right at a turn next to the railroad crossing they will get a lot of exposure with the wall lettering in place.

Here is the new logo that they wanted to put on their wall.

We chose to letter the building with individually formed acrylic letters. Here’s a picture of some of the letters laid out as we put the stand offs and studs on the letters.

Here is a closer look at the studs with the pads to attach the letters onto the wall.

Once at the site, we set up the ladders and the boom lift at the ideal place to get everything done with minimal relocation of the ladders.

Here’s the whole pattern rolled out in the parking lot before being cut apart into their individual pieces. It was long to say the least.

After cutting the pattern apart, we had to tape the parts together with the correct spaceing between the individual lines of text.

After we got the pattern put together, we put it on the wall and ensured that it was level with the building and in the right place before taping it up.

Next came the drilling, luckily the wall was mostly stucco and didn’t require as much effort as other jobs we have had where the buildings were made of concrete.

After all the holes were drilled we put all the letters up to check if the holes were the right depth and that they were drilled straight. This ensures that letters are straight before attaching them to the wall and holes can be re-drilled if necessary.

Here, some of the letters are in place.

All the letters on the wall before securing them to the building.

After we are happy with the placement of the letters, they are attached with the studs and industrial strength adhesive as we take the pattern off at the same time.

The boss hard at work.

Here’s a picture of the progress as we attach the individual letters to the wall.

Here is the finished building with all the letters attached. The customer was very pleased with the outcome. You can see a testimonial letter on here or our client testimonial page.
